Beyond Euclid - #125
Welcome to Beyond Euclid #123, the newsletter for the best mathematics and science stuff of the week. I am Ali, and I curate cool math and science stuff every week to help you have a better week.
📰 We stand on the precipice of an awe-inspiring event; in just one day, we will witness the marvel of a solar eclipse. My last encounter with such a phenomenon dates back to August 11, 1999, as a middle school student in Turkey. Tomorrow, the experience will be renewed, and this time from the comfort of my own garden, shared with my children. The anticipation is not mine alone; excitement bubbles among many. For example, Niagara Falls expects 1 million visitors, and a state of emergency has been declared in the city where the eclipse will be visible.
Therefore, I've devoted a significant portion of this week's issue of "Beyond Euclid" to the eclipse, curating content of unusual significance for the occasion. I hope you enjoy reading it!
For this week, I recommend one of my favorite song, "About Today" from The National!
