Beyond Euclid #174
Welcome to Beyond Euclid #174, the newsletter for the best mathematics and science stuff of the week. I am Ali, and I curate cool math and science stuff every week to help you have a better week.
Hello! Happy Tuesday ! During a gathering with friends this week, the conversation turned to complaints about spending too much time on the internet. It’s 2025, and yet here we are, still revisiting this age-old topic. I chose not to join the discussion, but it got me reflecting on the internet itself. Ultimately, I concluded that the internet is like water flowing from a fountain. While it may seem like a chaotic wasteland to many, for someone like me who knows how to navigate it mindfully, it’s a treasure trove of beauty and discovery. Instead of lamenting excessive screen time, the solution is remarkably simple—stop spending too much time online. You can easily put your phone down and redirect your energy. Pick up a book, plant tomatoes in the garden with your child, or take the whole family out for ice cream. It’s not as difficult as it might seem.
Anyway, here is the good internet of this week! ❤️
